You can find me at paige a t a l u m n i p e r i o d u f l p e r i o d e d u. I just recently married Robert, my friend of the heart on top of a mountain in NC in an amazing ceremony by an Apache Medicine Man. Life is good. I'm in the phone book in Gainesville and I work at PKY Developmental Research School which is a part of the College of Education at the University of Florida.

Currently I am teaching Mathematics in a local high school and am pursuing my Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology at University. I have two wonderful children, and a nice life. I work hard teaching full time, going to graduate school, and having fun. I will reach my goal of a Ph.D. in 3 years or less. I am an Educational Anthropologist and my research area is on race and gender in mathematics and mathematics education. (If this bio sounds vague, it is so intentionally.) joy playing tennis with my friends. Life is good, the best it has been in as long as I can remember and it continues to get better. I love to camp at the beach and escape the world until I am tired of eating sand and crave my matress and a shower in my own bathroom. I continue to be involved in the preservation and promotion of Florida's folk culture via the Florida Folklore Society and the Florida Folk Festival. My personal philanthropy is helping the homeless which I do by organizing the collection of toiletry items, used backpacks, food and clothing for the local homeless shelter. The next time you see a homeless person, offer them something. What could it hurt? If they don't use it for the purpose you might have intended - oh well. The next person you help out might really need it. If in the process of helping the homeless, you help out a few insincere folks, you will have most likely helped MANY who really needed and appreciated it more than you will ever realize. If you have more than you need, give a little away to someone with less. You'll feel good about it. Perform random acts of kindness and senseless beauty. Work as if you don't need the money. Dance as if no one is watching. Love as if you have never been hurt. Forgive yourself when you make mistakes. Live life to the fullest and love yourself.
